Charity is Dead

I have recently discovered that charity is dead.

If you are not self sufficient, you are pitied.

Pithy seems to be the word of this upside down world.

When homelessness becomes a sin, illegal, we might as well be living in a fiefdom.

Round and round and round we go.

Hold on tight before you are thrown to the wolves, eaten alive.

Good luck surviving this horrific existence if you are one of the millions that are constantly extending a hand out.

If you are in distress, you are made to feel less, even by so called Christians.

I suppose these brothers and sisters in arms have forgotten that Jesus was without a home.

He wondered this pitiful earth, trading his wares for shelter and food.

He and all of his disciples lived in tents, went without.

Barefoot.

Just like me and my child.

No hope, no faith in humanity.

Jesus I beg you to return today before it’s too late.

The hungry, poor, homeless desperately need a little respite.

We might as well just throw in the towel for charity has gone out the window.
